Holding pattern... |
| LXP is on hold for the now and near-now. Batteries need replaced and minds need freshened. Update on most recent cast: Ricky Rat parted ways to finish his solo record and continue touring with Kevin K, Nato has relocated to Atlanta to further exorcise some demons and work on a recording studio, KyleThirteen is touring with Blitzkid and I am working with Craigo and Brian Brenner on a new baby, Sharpen Your Teeth (fucking power city), and preparing for tour as guitarist in Dumbell (Germany) for 2011 EU spring tour.

| The votes are in, tallied, and released...Luxury Pushers have, with 52,000 votes (double the next closest band!), won Best Rock Band in Dayton for 2008 in the Active Dayton poll! Muchas smooches to those of you who got involved. The new year is here and LXP will soon be back on the road with fresh energy and even more shit to gossip about so play along won't cha? |

...TO THOSE WHO WAIT... |
| A communique to the loyal and curious: The line-up of the past 2 years is no more. Purtle has left to devote full-time to a long running side project, darkbackward. LaBonte has found a new home in Asheville,NC with Crank County Daredevils and Mr. C. Wright is still planning the rise of the machines and running a one-stop guitar repair, Wrightfield Guitar Salvage and Repair. In doing the math, as I'm sure you just have, that puts Jamy back in search of fresh troops. October '08 (brought a killer line-up of the brothers Murtagh, Derek and Sean (Circus Boy-Detroit) and Adamm Devine (Knox Angeles mayor). Final staff is yet to be confirmed. In the interim, Jamy (back in Dayton,O) is playing guitar with JJ Pearson in Indy and recording with Steve Miller (Electric Frankenstein) for a new Rock and Roll monster still to be named while writing new LXP songs. Fear not, 2009 is already bringing new energy and will find LXP in the van for MANY more miles... |

I gave it a hell of a go but alas unseen bullshit sidetracked one of the cats who was to fill in on the July tour and there's no way to pull it off. Stay tuned for more info down the road but the short story is that I'll retool LXP and be back before ya can say drunken stupidity 3 times without slurring. The Tall Man, er...men |
| A quick LXP medical check in- Mr. Eric Purtle has had surgery and is On The Mend. The short version: due to compression on the spinal chord his C5, and maybe C6, has been replaced with cadaver parts and titanium bits. He wears a punk neck brace for 3 months and cannot play live until he's fully fused. We are fortunate to have Adamm66 (Knox Angeles), of MySpace fame, touring in place of the aforementioned tall man for the duration. We'd like to thank Dayton monster Tod Weidner for the Gem City shows and ask you to give the Purtilian your support by giving cards and all your cash to LXP at the gig nearest to you... |

Carolina dreamin'...September tour |
| Once again North Carolina was good to us and killer to the Starship. Yup, coolant system problems struck another blow but couldn't stop LXP completely. New ( Manson Family) friends in Johnson City, and Charm City, killer show in Asheville and hospitality of the highest order from NC to Baltimurder. Sorry for the missed gigs Raleigh and Va. Beach...we owe ya. |
